Are There Fees for Binance Internal Transfers?

2026-03-27 · 6 min read
Answering whether Binance charges fees for internal account transfers.

Whether Binance charges fees for internal transfers depends on the type and scenario. Understanding this can help save unnecessary costs. You need a Binance account to perform transfers. On the Binance APP, you can conveniently perform various account transfers and fund allocations.

Same-Account Internal Transfers Are Completely Free

Within the same Binance account, fund transfers between different sub-accounts are completely free. For example: from spot trading account to futures account, from trading account to funding account, or from funding account to earn account. These operations have no fees, no minimum amounts, and arrive instantly. You can freely allocate funds between accounts based on trading needs. These internal transfers are essentially just adjusting fund distribution within your account and do not involve blockchain transfers, so they are completely free.

Transfers Between Binance Users

Binance provides an internal transfer feature between users, sending to other Binance users via email, phone number, or Binance ID. These internal transfers are also fee-free, since funds do not leave the Binance platform and do not require blockchain network processing. Arrival is also instant. This is a very practical feature for scenarios like sending crypto between friends or family, saving on-chain transfer fees. When using it, ensure the recipient's Binance email or phone number is accurate, as incorrect transfers may be irrecoverable.

Blockchain Transfers to Other Binance Users

If you do not use the internal transfer feature and instead send cryptocurrency to another Binance user via blockchain transfer, you must pay normal on-chain fees. Since funds pass through the blockchain network, miner fees must be paid. Therefore, when you know the recipient is also a Binance user, strongly recommend using the internal transfer feature instead of on-chain transfer: it is both free and instant. To determine if someone is a Binance user, simply ask for their Binance registered email or phone number.

How to Use the Binance Internal Transfer Feature

In the Binance APP, go to the wallet page and tap Transfer or Send. Select transfer via email, phone number, or Binance ID. Enter the recipient's information and the currency and amount to transfer. The system automatically detects whether the recipient is a Binance user; if so, it routes through the internal transfer channel, fee-free and instant. Confirm the information and submit, which may require security verification. Both parties receive notifications upon completion. For first-time transfers, send a small test amount first, then proceed with larger amounts after confirming the recipient information is correct.
